IWU Campus

Principal types of rooms

Typical Dorm Suites

  • All of the dorms contain dorm suites, which are two bedrooms (two twin beds each) sharing a bath. This type of room is available to all conferees. Individuals can choose to share a room with another person, or pay more for a room to themselves.
  • Single adults and all high school students, along with their counselors, will be in this type of lodging. Married couples without middle school or younger dependants will also be assigned to this type of lodging.
  • Families can also select this option. Depending on the size and ages of the family, they may need to be housed in more than one dorm suite, or one or more members may be housed at the individual rate in nearby rooms. This will be done by the registrars as sensibly as possible.
  • Handicapped accessible rooms are available on the ground floor of all dorms, and some dorms are equipped with elevators.

Dorm Suite

The typical dorm suite described and shown above incorporates two bedrooms connected by a bathroom. These two-room dorm suites may be reserved by families at a discounted price.

4-Bedroom Dorm Suites

There are a limited number of four-bedroom dorm suites available for families. The four-bedroom suites contain a living room and a single large bathroom with two showers. Unlike the Lodge Suites, there are no kitchenette facilities in Dorm Suites.

The four-bedroom dorm suites can be requested on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lodges

IWU has three lodges which we plan to be using. The lodge rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, with possible adjustments by the registrars to maximize family benefits. The lodge suites are quite spacious, with plenty of room for children in cribs or sleeping bags (which must be supplied by the family). Types of suites in the lodges include:

  • Two bedroom suites (four twin beds total). This option has two large bedrooms joined by a living room and a bath, and includes a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. No cooking or dining utensils are provided. All conferees staying in the lodges will still be required to pay the meal and program fee.
  • Three bedroom suites (six twin beds total). This option is similar to the two bedroom lodge suite, with three large bedrooms, a living room, two bathrooms, and a kitchenette. No cooking or dining utensils are provided. All conferees staying in the lodges will still be required to pay the meal and program fee.
